A Brief History

Colin Osborne and Peter Kailis formed Coldale Constructions Pty Ltd in Perth in 1978. It is a testament to our commitment to our clients that in excess of 60% of our work related to repeat business - our clients return because we provide high quality work, completed on time and on budget.

Our team of professionals

Over the years, we have invested considerable time and effort into educating our staff on issues such as industrial relations and occupational health and safety.

We retain good relationships with trade unions and have a record of minimal disruptions to our construction projects.

Our Directors

John Scarfe - Managing Director

Joined the company in 1982 as our Project Manager and progressed to become General Manager and later Managing Director.

He takes an active role in managing the company and plays a major role as Construction Manager.  He maintains a continuing overview of all projects, monitoring their progress and providing a point of contact for architects and clients.

Peter Kailis - Chairman

Peter is a well known and respected identity within the Western Australian business community.

He has served as chairman to various companies and provides senior management expertise, experience and extensive contacts in all industries.

Colin Osborne - Non Executive Director

Previously Managing Director and a registered builder, Colin resigned in 1993 and remains a director of Coldale Constructions Pty Ltd.

Supporting our MD

Coldale has built up a team of skilled and committed individuals who make up the backbone of Coldale Constructions Pty Ltd.  The Support offered by the team includes onsite and offsite duties ranging from site supervision, quality control and occupational health and safety to Account Management, record keeping, controlled progress claims, insurance, security and project management or just being part of the design team if required.

Creating a Team

Most of our key people have been with us for many years and five of them exceed ten years service.  All have been selected because of their expertise and experience in commercial and industrial building.

Our Credentials

Selected by McDonald’s Australia to construct in excess of 55 new stores in Western Australia from Albany to Port Hedland.

One of the first WA companies to introduce tilt up concrete panel construction.

Member of the Master Builder’s Association

Our team includes four registered builders

25 years service to the industry specialising in industrial & commercial building and successfully completed contracts for dozens of architects and engineers.
